“ The service was great. Parties were all seated with enough space between us so that it's not uncomfortable to talk. I had the house favourite duck, and my husband had the steak. The duck was lovely. However, the steak sirloin was chargrilled, which we weren't a huge fan of. Overall a lovely experience and we will definitely be coming back with our dog as its a dog friendly place ”
“ Parking was easy and we were quick to get a table as we were only visiting for drinks. We were served quickly and the bar snacks we ordered came out quickly and were hot and delicious. They had board games to help yourself to which we had a lot of fun playing whilst we were there. Overall a great place to pop in for a drink and snack ”
“ Stopped overnight in our campervan. Large carpark. Very quiet and peaceful. Large, modern, country style pub. Very dog friendly . Very friendly staff and owners.we had a fantastic meal, very nice food, good service and the beer tasted good too ”
“ Wanted to visit for a while now and so glad we have. Greeted at the bar by two happy friendly ladies and was shown to our table we chose as we took our dogs (one of the reasons for going) we chose a burger for myself and mac & cheese for my wife which she struggled to eat but was determined to finish as it was so nice. My burger was so tasteful with their own burger sauce very impressed maybe could have come with a little salad maybe. Pub is lovely staff friendly and without spoiling anything find the loos lol ”
“ Very interesting place. I've never seen such a big pub with so many tables. Lovely decorated and nice outside space to sit on the sun. We just stopped by for a drink after landing on Bristol airport and on the way to Bournemouth. ”
“ Liked the look of this pub, and the name caught my eye as a pub stopovers in the campervan. Very accommodating. Donations to the pubs charity was enough to stay but we also had bar food and a couple of drinks. Every enjoyable. Very nice country pub setup for mainly table dining, along with beer garden. ”
“ A group of friends of mine gathered here for a get together at lunch time. I was early and I was shown to our table by a very kind waitress who offered me her arm to help me get down the step (I walk with a stick). It’s not often that people are so very kind. I ordered a coffee which was the nicest coffee I’ve had in a long time. My friends joined me and we were all rather engrossed in the very varied options of dishes in the menu. Eventually we all decided on our choices and when our food arrived we were delighted with the quality of the different dishes and the generous portions. I had the prawn Marie sandwich which was actually too big for me so I shared half of the sandwich with my friend and half of the chips (which were also delicious). Sadly we were all too full to be able to have a dessert! My daughter tells me I’m a fussy eater when we go out for a meal and I have to admit it’s true. With this pubs menu there were a good number of dishes that appealed to me which is a very rare event. We will definitely be coming here again! ”
“ What a lovely village pub! Myself & my colleague randomly stumbled across this pub, and I have to stay, we were blown away. All staff were extremely friendly, approachable and so accommodating (even with my colleague who had a few allergies). We sat outside in the pub garden which was lovely, and then ended up having some food, we loved the vibe of the pub, (try and find the toilets!). Then we ended up playing the weekly quiz, which was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. Keep doing what you’re doing guys! ”
